I came across this trunk in a thrift shop and was instantly drawn to all the paint splatters. Upon closer examination, I noticed a name painted on the side and knew that it had a unique story and that I had to have it. 

As a large, solid piece of furniture, I felt like it needed space to breathe, so I chose to build a modern, faux brushed steel base that lifts the trunk off the ground and gives it some visual lift and also allows it to fit into both a modern or rustic space.
